Anderson Laboratories has in place a comprehensive quality system to meet your material testing requirements.
Quality Management Systems (QMS)
ISO/IEC 17025:2005
Our Quality Management System is certified, to the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) and Det Norske Veritas (DNV), two of the most highly respected and well known registration organizations in the world.
A2LA is an American based registration agency while DNV is a European based notified body. Certification by these agencies ensures that Anderson Laboratories complies with the stringent requirements of ISO/IEC17025:2005, an international standard based on ISO 9001:2000. Having these certifications means that we comply with the additional requirements of these standards for the validation of personnel and other processes specific to laboratories.
Testing Approval
97/23/EC Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)
The Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) is a safety directive that is applied to a part, vessel, or component, operating at 0.5 bar of pressure or greater, that is destined for usage in one of the European Union (EU) member states. There are operational criticality levels within the directive that determine the magnitude of the testing required when working to the PED. The PED is similar to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code regarding requirements for testing, non-destructive evaluation and personnel qualification. Anderson Laboratories has a decade of experience in working with the mandatory harmonized specifications of the directive.
Rolls-Royce Corporation
Anderson Laboratories, Inc. has been approved as a Rolls-Royce sub-tier supplier RRU6, with approval number 104940. Our scope of approval allows us to perform chemical analysis as well as mechanical testing for the Rolls-Royce Corporation as required.
Quality Management Systems Compliance
ISO/ANSI 9001/9004:2000
Anderson Laboratories has assumed a posture of compliance to the requirements of the elements of ISO/ANSI 9001/9004:2000. ISO/ANSI 9004:2000 is a separate guideline for organizations that wish to develop to a higher magnitude of quality management principles that embrace practices such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Strategic Planning, just to name a few. We feel that compliance to these two standards makes us a stronger organization with a clearer, more defined purpose and direction. The input vs. output as defined by the process model of the standard have been clearly established and defined between all departments of Anderson Labs. The process approach and the business model concepts from the standards offer us a superior customer focus. As an organization we will evolve into the 2008 revisions of the standards.
Nuclear code and associated requirements
Verbatim compliance to the mandatory requirements as specified by 10CFR50, Appendix B, ASME B&PVC Section III, NCA-3800, and relevant sections of ASME/ANSI NQA-1 are followed ensuring compliance to your material testing needs. The requirements of 10CFR21 are enforced and complied with here at Anderson Laboratories. Our Quality Assurance personnel has over thirty years of combined experience in the nuclear compliance arena and have deployed a Quality Management System that allows for testing of a large range of materials for dedication to nuclear service.
MIL-Q-9858A
Although MIL-Q-9858A has been replaced by ISO 9001:2000, the unique elements of this specification are complied with by Anderson Laboratories. The military exactness and scope of coverage from this specification have been embraced to strengthen our quality program. MIL-I-45208A
MIL-I-45208A is used as a basis for all the measurements that are taken in the sample preparation and final inspection operations prior to and after your testing has been completed. The concepts contained in the specification along with good metrology practice are embraced at Anderson Laboratories.
Norsok M-650
Material testing and qualification of welds to the requirements of the Norsok standards can be challenging. Anderson Laboratories has assisted customers in qualifying materials to the series of Norwegian Petroleum standards developed for North Sea oil platform production and operations. A unique blend of ASTM, ASME and EN standards are all enforced in the testing process to ensure compliance to the Norsok standards. We can help you with any of your testing requirements for the Norwegian Oil Industry Association (OLF) and Federation of Norwegian Manufacturing Industries (TBL).
